     A zero perm liner system that also insulates and reflects heat provides the most benefits. With a proper floor and wall liner, the area will not only be well insulated, but will seal out moisture, and prevent mold growth. A zero perm liner will also completely weatherize the crawl space and save on energy bills since the outside air won't be able to leak into the home.

While there are a number of causes of indoor air pollution in your home, a damp crawl space is one significant danger. Because of an effect called the "stacking effect," half of the air you breathe in your home actually comes from underneath your house and up through the ventilation system. This occurs because warm air rises and escapes through leaks in your home, causing colder air to be pulled in and up through craw lspace vents and into your house. When the crawl space is damp, it likely will have dust, mold spores, allergens and soil gases in it, which will then be dispersed throughout your home.
